150 GXL windscreen issue - halo effect around headlights of oncoming vehicles

When driving at night, the headlights of oncoming cars appear to have a 'halo' and the light seems to 'separate'.

from a distance a car looks like a truck (with clearance lights at the top of cab/trailer) as i get closer to the oncoming vehicle these 'clearance lights' move down towards the headlight.

Also, while the headlights of the vehicles are white, this light I'm noticing is yellow.

This occurs for every single car, truck, etc.

Its more annoying than anything, but it can be very distracting.

Is this 'normal' for a 150 windscreen or have I got a dodgy one?

Have you got some form of rain repellant on there? Maybe worth cleaning the inside and outside of the screen thoroughly and see if it still happens.

no rain repellent, have cleaned the windows already.

only for reading, had eyes checked last week actually.

I had a similar issue when I got armourall on the windc=screen and just wiped till it looked like it was off. After windexing the sucker the halo effect went. Teach me not to be lazy....

"If you use Armorall on the dash, as it evaporates the silicon compound leaves that white'ish misty film on the windscreen. Good old windex will fix it. There is a water based product that doesn't create that film. It is 303 and from memory the brand is Aerospace. I have used it and it is a very good product.

I have an issue with my wind screen as well. Bloody patrol driver put a rock into it 60km west of Wyndorah.
