    Puregeek,

This rate is inclusive of all dealer charges, meaning, ' no more to pay'.

If it helps, I applied for a Chattel Mortgage for business.

      Sdavo,

The rate they gave me is for Toyota's own independent finance company and has no affiliation with capital or esanda. My dealer only uses Toyota Finance so luckily they gave me a really good rate. I had applied for a Chattel Mortgage so that might explain the healthy rate I received.

            • Woo hooooo...Call today advised we can come in at 4pm tomorrow and take delivery of the Altitude ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Insurance will be with Suncorp and the Dealer has arranged for them to cover the vehicle initially as a VX (will be an interesting outcome) As of today still no movement with other insurance companies seeing the SE edition in their listings so hmmm.

We as mentioned happy to take pics and post things you folks who may not have yet seen an Altitude for viewing.

              • Picked the car up today.

Not a bad vehicle. Little bit under powered for me. Today was the first time I have ever driven a Prado newer than a 90 series so I wasn't sure what to expect. I have to work on understanding a few of the features which annoyed me on the way home on the dash. Looking forward to the beach run on Saturday.

I am not sure why you are all having issues with insurance. I had three quotes to choose from as of Monday this week.

A beach run puts as much if not more stress on the engine and transmission than towing and towing isn't advised in the first 1000km, so I wouldn't be taking it on a beach either.

I am sure the car can handle it. I wasn't advised not to go on the beach, towing is actually up to 3000km.

                      • hey Kylie congrats, that should keep the smurfs quiet while you check out all the nooks and crannies...

All the post delivery information as to what you can or can not do will be in the manual. From memory you have 4 weeks from the date of rego to get the first 1000K service (think its a recommendation or such) so there is plenty of post pradoing activities the us new parents will have to look into.

Where does it say no towing for 3000kms? And yes the car can handle it, just depends how long your planning to keep it. Like I said beach driving on soft sand is as at least as hard on the car as towing.
