The tracking system has just been updated - my new Prado has a VIN and an engine number and is 'In Transit'.

I'm so excited - I wonder how many more sleeps.....?

I have ordered my GXL Turbo Diesel Auto, they are claiming it will be ready end of April beginning of May so will have to wait and see.

I now have a date - 11 February :-)

But production must be catching up, my local dealer had 2 Prados on the lot for sale yesterday; a V6 Kakadu and a D4D VX.

I got a call from the dealer yesterday. Exspected delivery to their yard 10th Feb. Then they want it for another 10 days to kit it out.

I signed a purchase contract for a new SX on Jan 7, before I got to know about PP and this thread. Maybe a good thing in that I may have thought twice if I knew aboput delays. Maybe a bad thing if SX doesn't turn up before July and planned trip Adelaide-Kings Canyon-Exmouth-Karijini-Ningaloo-Adelaide. Of course I need a week or two at OL/ARB/TJM.
Seems delays are improving, or am I just seeing what I want to see?

No thanks. Really want the 3 door. Upgrading from a Suzuki, big car might freak me out. Just want the smaller size with all the other goodies of the Prado plus evenmore - less weight, bette rtowing, better performance, better fuel economy, more agile ... Don't need the extra space.

TD GXL 150 Prado 2012 Silver Perl

Hi Folks, picked up my TD GXL 150 Prado 2012 Silver Perl on the weekend most impressed with it took it for a run Sunday, of to ARB later in a couple of weeks to have accessories fitted.
O what fealing.

Hi Alan, my build accessories basically will consists of ARB bull bar colour coded, driving lights, towbar electric brake (Red Ark) dual battery system Kaymar HF antenna brackets more to come when i can afford it booked in to be fitted in a couple of weeks.

Good start. Aren't you worried about front end sag from bull bar, lights, & dual battery without an OME lift?
