  • Prado 150 rear water tank

Hi everyone, has anybody ever tried to fit the Plastic underbody water tank made by The Long Ranger from Out Of Town 4X4 to the 150 series long wheel base vehicle. They make one for the 120 series, but not listed as being able to be installed on the 150 model. I had a look at their FAQ but it has a download error on the website which is scrambled and has a bit of chinglish in it? Are the rear ends of the car much the same? Cheers, Tony

Good question, I was looking into these also. I spoke to the supplier and they aren't looking at developing one for the 150 in the near future. If the 120 fitted it would be very handy.

I have gone from a ute to a Prado so space is everything now, even if they develope one I would buy it for sure.

If you can spare 80mm behind the back seat (centre seat for the GXL) you can slip a 50Ltr tank in there. Won't get hit or damaged and your water will stay a lot cooler. When we went to the Kimberly a few years ago the water stored underbody was undrinkable (good for showers though)

I have a 35 Lt stainless steel tank behind the 2nd row seats and in front of the drawers. Water is always (in Nth Qld anyway) cool as the sun can't get to the tank.

Got them and the cargo barrier from Off road Systems. Check them out.

Thanks Rev, looks the goods, and so it should, half cage and a tank is over $1100. I'll hit them up at the show and see what they can do. Tony
