When you do could I trouble you post some details? It seems like a better way of doing it.

    • So far, I've found how to remove the interior light/sunglasses holder console on the 120 series: http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...console-wiring

Sorry guys I didn't take any pics when I did mine I've looked through the forum but can't find the thread that I originally looked at it was mounting a hema GPS.
The only thing I remember that was a pain about it is there are a few power wires up there but a couple are 6volt so you'll need a multi meter to make sure you get the 12volt one

          • My old dash cam saved files in .AVI format and I had a free splitter to edit out the sections I wanted. Anyone found a splitter (and joiner) for MP4 format files as used by the Blackvue?

You can change the file format from MP4 to Avi, Are you on a Mac? if so, easy.
No Steve, PC - but I have just discovered that you can split files with VLC Media Player. Just need to join them together now.

From memory , handbrake will convert mp4 to Avi. You can then put into moviemaker etc. handbrake is a free download.

I have Handbrake and just used it to convert some Sony .MTS files to MP4 but it only converts to .MP4 or .MKV formats.

Hi thswyup can you remember how you removed the light sunglass panel? With the 120 it looks like at the front towards the bonnet there were two clips is it the same in the 150? Cheers

Thanks Steve, seems to work OK. I just converted two MP4s to AVI with no problem - just need to join them together now.

                          • A tip for new players here - if you connect it to a permanent supply, despite what has been suggested it records 24/7 although the mode does change to parked. If you use it to record your fun day out and don't download it that night (or manually turn it off) by the time you look at it next day it will probably be overwritten. My 32GB card lasts about nine hours.

That last quote may have been a bit hasty - I've just checked my memory card and it has recordings going from 12th Aug at 4:17PM through to 14th Aug at 7:10AM. There are gaps between 12th Aug at 7:52PM and 13th Aug at 6:05AM and 13th Aug at 8:31 and 14th Aug at 6:00AM (apart from one recording on 13th Aug at 10:20PM, apparently triggered by me using the remote to lock the car).

It seems to wake up when there is light - recording starts at approx 6:00AM when I go in the garage and turn the light on but don't go near the car. It does record all day (during daylight) without the car being touched though.

                              • so it would stay awake with street lamps out front of the house and record all night ?
