How did you go with the Service Manager?

Basically gave me the same story the service adviser who checked the car in gave me, no can do!

Also, did you receive a copy from a service book?

No, and I forgot to ask the service manager about that. I don't see why they need to rip out those pages when they stamp the stubs, I like to have them as a quick checklist of what was supposed to be done.

He is pulling more than the pages from your service book, think he is pulling something else !!!

I never have much luck scanning anything onto this website, or loading photos. Maybe I can fax through the service book copy if you want it.

So back to "What are they supposed to do" Can I ask them for before and after valve clearances and cold injector values? I would also like to know the build date are engine number of the last 150 to get the old type injector seals. I know they changed to the new seals in 2010 but not when. I am not concerned so much with injector seals as the screen is clean and I can check at the X5000 oil changes but the injectors, how would I know if they have a weep or not?

That's the spiel I got too, I was even told they couldn't check it. I'll be calling the Service Manager on Monday and asking for an explanation, you would think the dealership would want the extra dollars.

If anyone could be so good as to scan the 80,000K page out of their service log book for me I'd appreciate it, they tore the page out again despite a specific request not to do so.

Full stop the 80K km service is a valve clearance and injectors should be pulled to do the clearance properly.

its getting hard to find a good toyota dealer. i left toyota berwick for lying to me
about balancing and rotating tyres when a puncher repair from the day before was still
in the same position. only to now have Frankston toyota not rotate or balance tyres
telling me they are fine for the last 30k of services leaving me with one bald front left.
is there any good ones left in Melbourne?

I caught my dealer out too the service before this one for not rotating tyres, I had marked them beforehand. They did it and paid for a front end alignment at an outside tyre place when I complained. I couldn't find anything to mark them this time, bet they didn't rotate or balance them again. Still waiting for them to call me back regarding the coolant not even being topped up, it's down to the min mark.

Yeah I rang 3 other dealers around here and they wanted between $1155 and $1245 for the service on a V6. Makes the $900 sound not so bad LOL. Were it not for my extended warranty I would be going elsewhere.

It's with the dealership, we are not the original owners so weren't offered the factory one.
