  • 3rd row seats dusty?

I was pulling out the 3rd row seats tonight and there seemed to be a build up of dust on the passenger side rear seat. The drivers side seat had a bit of dust on it but not as much.

After I got the seats out I noticed alot of dirt had gathered around the grommet in the passenger rear side.

Now it got me thinking, I haven't run any wires down through the grommet, the only people who have touched it would have been ARB when they installed the towbar wiring.

Having a look at the grommet I noticed that there was a hole from when the wires were pushed through and I am thinking that's how the dust is getting in.

Has anyone else had this problem or noticed the third row seats being dusty or am I just being picky?

Toyota did the same with my 120. Silicone is your friend.

I had a similar issue after the towbar went on. There is a big grommet hidden under the floor the installers used to get the towbar wiring loom into the area around the LH rear light. The grommet is a pain to get right and tends to pop out with the slightest disturbance - assumes I put it back in correctly I suppose. After a couple of failed attempts at getting it to sit right I found silicon x lots sorted the problem.
