  • Compressor mounting behind rear left side panel

I am mounting a compressor behind the side panel on the rear left side because it contains a large void..... seemingly to provde a cup holder mount for the third row left seat! (Might have to sacrifice the cup holder... no big deal , have drawers now not seats!)
I hope to get the mounting backet made tomorrow then I can run wiring and plumbing etc. My question is: there is a what appears to be a black plastic tank mounted conformally on the side panel and partially behind the outside panel. What is the tank for? Fuel tank expansion? Or maybe it is not a tank???
Secondly mounted on top of the left rear wheel arch is a sensor. What does it sense?
My manual searches for the above didn't help much but I didn't find it particularly intuative if you didn't you know what system the part belonged to.
    Thanks
    John

      mjrandom,
I have seen those threads. I am using a conventional single cylinder compressor sourced from Air on Board.
My vehicle is a 2012 GXL Diesel auto.
The pics in the various threads mentioned all look similar but have different detail.
I enjoy reading your build thread and comments, keep it up!

I can't remember a tank there which is why I asked whether it was a petrol. Can't see anything in Ages pics either, can you identify the tank in his build shots? ToyoDIY will have arrangements of fuel fillers etc so maybe something there.

Thanks for the compliments. I relied on members info when I built my 150 so I try to help others too.
