  • Removing 3rd row seats from Kakadu

    Hi all,

has anybody removed the 3rd row electric seats from a Kakadu? The reason i ask, is that i am wanting to install a false floor with the aux battery (sealed Optima) there, as i am putting the winch control box where the aux battery would go. I dont want to risk the inner guard cracking. I will also be installing a cargo barrier.

    cheers
    Geoff

Not a Kakadu but look at my build. I link to the instructions on removing the rear seats which are posted within this site. I used the poverty pack info but I assume there is something about the powered seats. I would think the only difference would be power to the seats and that the Kakadu has tie down rails in the back.

      Hi Geoff

While I haven't done this on a Kakadu I did ask a similar question of the guys at Drifta last year when deciding on which model. They confirmed the electric wiring for the seats simply unclips - so should be no harder than on a GXL.

          Hi Random,

your build looks awesome! Any chance you can send me the drawings for the false floor and battery box? Its a big ask, but i would be really appreciative if you still have them

          cheers

Thanks Geoff. I don't have plans for the floor, it is easy enough though just draw a centre line on the floor and measure out. With the box I can draw it up but I won't have access to the Prado for another week, it is in the wrong country. Will do once I get home.
