This is Very much a personal preference question. I don't think either brand has any great advantage over the other with the possible exception of the ARB being Australian made and the TJM not. Colour is also a personal thing.

For me the decision was ARB and white with no regrets.

        Cheers Andrew

Tjm doesnt have the plastic surrounds for the driving lights, ive seen heaps out bush here driving around with holes punched through them from stones flicking up. and the finish between the bullbar and headlights, tjm have their own little custom insert where arb cut what looks like the bumper and put a dodgy looking piece of black tubing along the edge to finish it of. just my opinion tjm looks neater.

TJM also do the bumper cut on the 150, way to many problems with their infill panels.

Yeah, I'm going through same thought process at moment. Have had my Prado for 9 months, 23000km and almost hit 2 roos. First one I saw in plenty of time but it still wanted to jump in front. Second one the radar saw way before I did and there was me wondering why it had thrown out the picks and the seatbelt pre-tensioner was trying to cut me in half (but I digress)

ARB bloke here recommended a suspension upgrade to handle the extra 70kg - all up $4300 for deluxe bar and OME suspension upgrade with 30mm lift. Haven't spoken to TJM as yet, but a bloke I work with has one of their alloy units on is Navara and collected a roo with it at 90kmh a couple of weeks ago. Bar needs replacing, but almost no damage to his vehicle. Bloke I work with says as bars are lighter, no suspension upgrade needed.

Other posters here seem to think that hanging all this weight on and then upgrading suspension may cause guard cracking. Certainly food for thought, but the last roo I did hit in my wife's Golf cost over $3k. Made the bonnet of said Golf look like the tail of a qantas jet, the dent was a perfect outline, including the ears....

Any thoughts on the above? There are a lot of Roos round Bendigo, no matter which way we head whether it's towards Melbourne, Mildura or towards the Hume.

Accessories planned: snorkel / bullbar / driving lights / trailer brakes / LED interior lights / dual battery /cargo barrier / get rid of stupid 3rd row seats

Personally I think the TJM Bars look better. In Western Australia you'll stand out if you have TJM gear, There is only one shop. Pretty much everyone has ARB.
