Hi all,
I found the attached part rattling around in the bash plate under the engine of my 150 GXL D4D manual.
Any ideas where it came from?

Do you have a bulbar? A Toyota bar? It looks a lot like the chassis pin on the 120 sovereign bar, the 150 may have the same setup.

Interesting lead, thanks Andrew. I had the Toyo alloy bar replaced with an ARB winchbar about a year ago. Wonder if it was dropped in that process and has been rattling around since.

Isn't the hole on the chassis pin in the middle?

The tubular part on the end, is it bored through to join the other hole?

They may have just left them in chassis, that sometimes happens on the 120s and when they come loose can rub through the radiator.

Might pay to have a look for another one in the chassis, might solve the mystery for you.

They are part of the Toyota alloy bar fitting kit. I still have one lodged in my chassis rail from when I put my ARB bar on. Could not get it out without taking the radiator out from memory.

Case solved!

Thanks all. We did some chassis-flexing off road work (Mt Gill track etc) in the northern Flinders Ranges last weekend. Probably worked it loose from wherever it was sitting.
