Just come back from a trip where we were stacked to the roof and stacked on the roof!! Now we are empty again there is a very annoying squeaky something.... I think it's the back door. I wonder if there was pressure put on the hinges when my son was getting up on to the roof to tie things down. Anyone have any suggestions.... When I go over slight bumps its kind of a jiggly squeak...it sounds like it could be in the cab.

Clean the rubber seal on both the door and body. Use some 303 or similar. Should start the squeak. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

It took me about 6 months to fix the squeak in my back door, even after getting toyota to try to fix it. Last weekend I gave the hinges a good clean with wd40, cleaned all the seals, and gave the hinges and locks a good lube with lithium. No more squeak2010 GXL 150 TD, Auto, Graphite, ARB Bullbar, OME Suspension, Safari Snorkel, Coopers AT3

You are right...my middle row left hand seat rattles! Ugh.... I have worked out that if I move it forward one notch it doesn't rattle. Toyota said they would have to replace damper or something like it but it was very expensive..... I don't think this new noise is the seat... But thanks anyway :-)

After month of cleaning, lubricating and fastening things inside the car (like seats, cables, trim, door seal etc etc) it turned out that it was a loose bolt of the spare wheel holder at the rear door.
It was able to move by a millimetre or so and I only found out when I discovered a rattle coming from the spare wheel when closing the tailgate.
Hope that helps

The door closer is prone to rattling, wind a few layers of black tape on it when the door is wide open (tip from dealer). The heavy metallic squeak is probably the door guide (near the lock), holds the door in alignment to keep the pressure of the lock. I put a layer of tape on it and noise was gone. Only lasted a couple of weeks until the door rubbed through but it proved I found the source. Silicon spray lube is only a short term option as well. Might try some grease.Prado Polar White 150 GX 3.0 TD Auto. I have had some success...I will post a separate reply.

UPDATE.....UPDATE...
Thanks everyone for your advice.
So far I have tried the oiling with lithium spray the hinges and locks. That didn't help in my case.
groeshel advised that the spare wheel could be the problem. So on the weekend it all came off....(we had taken off the whole spare wheel cover for our outback trip) and each section was tightened and now Success!! No more squeaking :-) So relieved, I thought we had done some damage to the hinges. There is still some muffled rattling in the back door when I go over speed bumps etc., but that was there before the trip....

There were a series of squeaks. The loudest was the wheel cover. After reading suggestions about that we tightened all nuts and bolts etc. Hubby says that he had to stuff some rags in between the cover and the new tyre. After fixing that then it made it easier to single out other squeaks. I sprayed locks with lithium spray and that seemed to help the stiff catch and got rid of some squeaks but the final squeak was the door guide problem...
Thanks again everyone... all of your ideas were part of the complete solution.
