Bluetooth - driving me crazy!

Anyone else having issues with the stock factory Stereo unti and low volume on Bluetooth?
Everyone and i mean everyone ic all on it complain they cannot hear me, its driving me nuts and i now have started to use my stupid iPhone handsfree headphone thingy to get people to speak to me.
I drive and talk on the phone all the time, not by holding the phone -thats illegal , but on the handsfree on the car. Its basically useless to me.
Anyone know of a workaround?
Predictably Toyota told me that" we cant find a fault, sounds good to me....."
Very frustrated.

i found that angling the central aircon vents down away from the roof/mic helped immensely.

I'll +1 that. Thats the only complaint I've had - that there was too much other noise at my end...Never that I'm too quiet.

I had a lot of complaints with mine initially and i could hardly hear SWMBO if she was in the car so I got it looked at during a service and the "turned" the microphone level up and it is much improved.

Yep i tried telling Toyota that but they came back with the" its fine" BS. I'm going to try another phone tomorrow then i'll try the dealer again i guess.

I had the opposite, lots of background noise received the other end. This happened using mine & SWMBO's phone (both iphone 5s). I ended up turning the mike all the way down(-5) and this fixed the problem.

Thanks for the info on this everyone. I will try these solutions too and see how we go. It's the only thing I've found lacking in this pretty good piece of engineering so far.
