Had the prado back in again to Toyota due to an oil leak this time... was told that the second simp was leaking. $700 later they said they fixed the issue... drove the 3 kms back to the house to pack up for the next leg of the road trip and there was a big pile of oil underneath...
Took the bash plate off and could see the oil dripping down...
Drove back to the dealer and gave them a serve, citing issues I had had in Melbourne and Kununurra and to have this oil leak not fixed and the bash plate not even put through the part washer to get rid of the old oil and mud was getting ridiculous...
They ended up throwing the car back on the hoist and found the oil leak was coming from the very top of the first sump..
They pulled the engine out today and believe it was a weak casting as they can't find any impact mark inside or out.
Parts are Japan order only so car will be off the road for a while...
