Re: Fleet Based Sales Brochure
Did anyone actually read these before publishing?
Might be my bad eyesite, but it looks like the GX gets wide steel rims and alloy wheels?
Knowing the general Toyota blurb- you can get those things as options (air alloys traction control etc) but then they make a big deal of those things on the next page.
The other thing- SWB seeting 7 people, I'm not sure of the vehicle but would think thats incorrect.
look I might be wrong- but I'm a fleet buyer for our mine, and keen to know whats standard on the base model, (and whats compatible with our current prados)

Re: Fleet Based Sales Brochure
Pradopoint won't go anywhere! Don't stress! Matt can still moderate for us.
Interesting there's no standard model. The whole reason for the 120 standard was due to a great demand for it from industry. I guess now the 70 series full cab is taking that job. Just seems that even the GX model has a decent bag of tricks on board this time around. It really makes me wonder if Toyota now has something else in mind for the 50 - 60K price bracket. Perhaps, if this V6 turbodiesel story is true, the Prado range might get reshuffled at that time where the base models might only get the current D4D... or something. Just seems one heck of an increase for something not to fill the lower price points. Agree with Matt.... 2 friggin dicks if they think working class Australia will put up that type of money. I'll need to be majorly impressed with it to go anywhere near those prices. Re: Fleet Based Sales Brochure
My eyes must be screwed as well....
Above it says the fuel capacity is 180lts, and the website (toyota aust) is say 150ltr (87 + 63). It also say the GX has alloys wheels as standard however they are 17X6.5 compared to the GXL which are 17X7. Hmmmmmm
Anyway got mt fleet quatoe this morning from the same dealer who I have purchased my past 2 GX 120's from the deal just does not stack up. It works out to about $4500 mto $5000 more than in 2007, and back then I also had an ARB bull bar and snorkel fitted.
May have to start looking at other manufacturers myself.

Re: Fleet Based Sales Brochure
Yeah I noticed the tyres / rims thing as well.
From Toyota's website at the moment they're saying the GX has 245/70's on a 17inch by 6.5 inch wide alloy rim.
The GXL has the 265/65's on a 17inch by 7.5 inch wide alloy rim.
So it appears we're going back to the days of the GX's having the thinner wheels. Doesn't make much sense though seeing there's no wheelarch flare additions on higher spec models this time around. Thinner tyres along with the current shape will look damn awful. Add that to the perplexingly designed bars for the front and they're going to look pretty weird from where I sit. :?# 2007 D4D GX # Full Privacy Tint # Flinders Red # 2 x HID LightForce 240 Blitz # ARB Winch Bar # Alloy Rims # Hilux Washer Jets # Stebel Nautilus Compact Truck Horn # ARB Alloy Roof Rack # ARB Dual Battery System # Charcoal Rough Country Canvas Seat Covers # Suspension:Autocraft Bilstein Shocks/Struts & Ridepro Coils # L.E.D Side Marker Lights # ARB Onboard Air # Pirelli Scorpion LT ATR 265/70's #--Custom 3"exhaust---
