Hi All,
My truck has a problem. It sometimes has a strange smell in the cabin.
It's a chemical smell; strong, and sickly sweet. Doesn't particularly smell like fuel or exhaust to me, but I could be mistaken.
It's only present sometimes. It's often present when I'm going uphill. And if I stop at traffic lights while going uphill, it's strongest when the light goes green, and I start moving again (and not before).
It's almost exclusively present when my cabin air is on recycle. When recycle is turned off, I can occasionally catch a faint whiff of the smell. But for the most part, it's absent.
Does anyone know what it could be? I guess it might be coming from somewhere other than the air vents. If I have recycle turned off, that would (I assume) create positive pressure inside the cabin, and prevent smells from entering via any other holes.
Thanks for any help,
Stuart
