This looks like it might be a bit closer to the mark.
A short comment in a test report in the latest 4x4 Australia mag made a comment along the lines of, when this mag goes to print they should be testing the new Prado. I'll try and post that bit up.

I definately think we are onto something now, that looks very much like a new prado.

That pic is definately a Rav, its not a new pic, its been floating around for a while. As for the pic of the 'possible' Prado, if that's it...I love it!
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Interestingly I have not seen a Prado advertised in the motoring section of the weekend papers for about 5 months now. Toyota usually have 1 if not 2 full page colour ads and always featured the Prado but not for a while.
Also seeing as there is a new model Prado in the works it was a bit weird reading a roadtest report comparing a Grande 120 series with a GXL 200 series LC. Prado got a good wrap too. It was in the motoring section of todays Sunday Telegraph (Sydney)
"The Toyota Vanguard is a compact crossover SUV that released in Japan on August 30th, 2007. It is sold in five- and seven-passenger versions and based on the third-generation Toyota RAV4 with a long wheelbase. The Vanguard slots between the RAV4 and Kluger.
As it is often the case in Japan-only vehicles, the Vanguard comes loaded with high-tech gadgets, including steering-assisted stability control, keyless entry and satellite navigation."
