I read an old post (I think) about how to customize some of the features in a GXL that should/could only be changed by a Toyota service department (like the window feature on the remote). Some body said that a Toyota guy had shown them how to do it. I have searched everywhere for the old post but I can not find it.
Was I dreaming???
Just had my new GXL D4D for 3 days and love it (a white one). Not sure why so many reviews say that it is under powered as mine seems to have plenty of go. Certainly not a sports car but I wanted a 4X4.
Now I just need a few extras :lol:

The mod is listed on "William's 150 GXL D4D" . I think he got it done at the dealership .

Almost right there Melbo. If you take it to your dealer they'd tell you it doesn't exist and brush you off, just take it to a toyota service department and they'll get it done for you. There's also a bunch of other mods they can do, check out the owners manual.

Custom features

Is there a custom feature that keeps the stereo on when you turn off the car and turns it off when you open the door, or is it turn off car and turn on with button?

From the manual, I believe that you can with an auto.
