  • Coil Strut Spacer for prado/Kakadu/150

    HI
My name is Martin and im from Poland, great that i have found that forum as in Europe we do not have many choices to ask about TL 150.

I think to level my Toyota by adding 1 inch Coil Strut Spacer in front.
WHat do U think guys, it may work or will cose the inssue with KDSS?
As im CNC engineer i can do it by my self in any size, but i think 1 inch is maximum i need.
I drive myself with a dog on the back, so the car is 99% empty , that is wy i do not like the funny filling driving the car with the back up.
    Please advice.

    Bets regards
    MARTIN

The raising of KDSS vehicles seems to mostly if not all end up with a lean that needs correction with some sort of spacer.
Note that a 1" spacer is about 1.5" of actual lift. What have you got in the front that weighs it down so much? It would be better for you to change the springs to bring the front back up, and then look at spacers to trim the lean if you get it. If your front is that low and you add a spacer to try and lift it, you will still end up with reduced suspension travel.

      HI.
Thats the thing that the car is new, i just brought it home 2 days ago , and from the new there is around 1.5 inches differences between front and rear, May be as it is 5 seat version not 7 so is 250 kg less on the back. It looks silly, but I would prefer to do not mess up with KDSS as there is no specialist in Poland to correct that lean.
May be i can use smaller spacer like 10 mm?
I do not have a lean now, i just checked after many posts reporting inssue on that. Is a version without pneumatic suspension.
How much 10 mm spacer will change for KDSS set up? Why t is not going up in symetrical way? ( now is no lean)
      Best regards

What are your front and rear suspension measurements? Measure from bottom of rim to the wheel arch.
The rear is usually higher than the front.
Do you have any side on photos?

As an example, here are some aftermarket strut spacers designed for the 120 but it would be very similar for the 150.

The current way to correct the lean is to trim the spacers after trying to release and adjust the KDSS valves. If there are no specialists in Poland, then there is info here to help you and your mechanic out.

Not sure why lifts are affecting the KDSS.

Well, i think i will stay OEM for now My first 4x4 when i will stay OEM (( Hope it will be some easy bolt on solution in a future.
