Check the height of your jack after a lift....

I just found out the hard way that after a 2 inch lift the standard jack is just too short to get the wheel on /off....
I ended up deflating the spare tyre before I could put it on. Glad I had my compressor with me!
Next job for me is to put some timber blocks in the car....

I keep two timber blocks in the drawers for that reason after I tried to rotate my tyres after my lift and although I still carry a standard jack I normally use a hydraulic one.

A timber block when going off road is "jacking 101" forget the height, what about the jack sinking into the soft sand.

As for the jack height, it's fine if you use it in the right spot. I made an adaptor so it can be used under the LCA, so it doesn't matter how much lift I do or don't have, the jack will still lift it far enough.

Yep, a few weeks back the old block of wood came in very handy, so does the picnic rug. 4th 4wd this block has lived in.

I use a 20x 200 x 200 mm block of wood to prevent the jack sinking.
