  • Cooper Zeons LTZ now on the Kakadu 285x60x18 with some pics..

I've been trying to find the right combo with some bigger tyres on the Kaka and settled on some Zeons. They're what I was after being bigger and chunkier, it looks like a fourby now. I'm going to try them out in a couple of weeks in Dwellingup and think they will do the job. There nice to look at, nice and quite time will tell.
Next is a nice ARB Sahara bar and spotties..

After a couple hundred K's so far I'm liking the Zeons. I did some light trackwork on Saturday and they seen quite grippy.

Anyone wanting to upgrade tyres and keep the 18" rims these tyres so far have been great..This saturday I went up to "the Hill" near the power station out back of pinjar and noticed a big difference in grip levels with these tyres and yesterday spent the day out back of Dwellingup and again HEAPS of grip. On road they feel very sure footed and well stuck there is a very small amount of tyre noise but its minimal. After saturday and sundays efforts there was no touching anywhere so this size does clear everywhere.

Really glad to hear this. I'd been looking at getting a set of these but wasn't sure how they'd go. How much did they cost?

          Hi Kakdaz,

Did you change the rims to 8" to 10" as listed in the Coopers Data Sheet instead of the standard 7.5s to fit the 285s on?

Tyre shop seemed fine putting them on a 7.5 as he had done a few and said 8-10" was ideal but 7.5 fine..

I think they were $455 each mate. I rang numerous Cooper stores and all were exactly the same price..

They look good, look quite similar in the tread pattern to the Mickey T STZ. Have you had them out in any mud yet?

I thought i had my mind made up on MT ATZ 4 ribs but the more I look into it the more confused and unsure I'm getting.
