Hi all,
for the benefit of other PP's out there with little mechanical knowledge like myself, I thought i might share with you my recent experience with a wheel alignment I had done. Local tyre shop couldn't undo the counter camber adjustment nut, broke a 3/4" drive socket in the process... long story short, booked it in with Toyota to have a look at (thinking something was wrong with it), dropped the car off, phone call and $110 later just to tell me they didn't undo the locknut first which is on the other side under the "belly plate", as only Toyota could charge! Thanks for that, couldn't tell me that when I phoned up about the issue in the first place.... next time i'll ask to speak to the mechanic first!
Took it back to the tyre shop, one very apologetic manager but now the wiser for future alignments!
