  • UHF cabling

    Hi guys,

I did a search in here but did it find anything for the 90 series....

I am finding it hard to find a place to run my UHF cable thru the firewall from the bulbar. I have found a few gromets to go thru but they are in a difficult place to get to from the cabin.

We're have you gone thru the fire wall?

    Pics maybe?? Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    Patrick

Welcome Patrick. I've got mine running through a grommet on the drivers side. Can't get a picture, very busy part of the engine bay, but it's under the cruise control actuator and right next to the brake booster. From memory I used a long piece of mig wire from inside the foot well and pushed it through the grommet and then taped the cable to the wire and pulled it through slowly. Good luck mate Kris

The to do list is getting shorter.

The best spot is from the passenger side, there is a very large wiring loom, just punch a little hole in the rubber grommet, and pust the wire through, then remove the glove box (two screws) pull the wire down through to where your UHF is, then just put the glove box back in and bobs your aunty!!
