  • Flared vs. De-Flared.

    Any one have Before and After pic's of there 95 Prado that you have de-flared? im thinking about doing this on mine and wondering how much is involved...??
    i did try search but this fourm is proving tricky to learn....

    If you do it, you will have to fill in the holes left by the retaining clips for the flares, and you will have to fit new rear bumper ends as they extend into the rear flares. Would be a lot more trouble than what it is worth.

      Also your tyres will be past the guards. The rv's without flares are only running 6 inch wide rims where as any thing with flares eg gxl, vx, grande, snowy etc are running 7 inch which the flares protect/cover keeping it legal and as mentioned above you will have holes etc unless you run a 6 inch rim which 1 would look crappy 2 not as stable due to been narrower wheel track......
