RDA or DBA, much difference?

Hey guys,

Don't know if anyone has much experience with either RDA or DBA, but I'm having to replace both front rotors so might as well 'upgrade' to a better quality, slotted variant.

Have been looking at the two major brands and can't decide which is better, given DBA are a fair bit more expensive...

Going off eBay I can get;

RDA pair slotted rotors for $220

I've always used DBA slotted and had good results.

I've got DBA on my prado, a workmate has RDA on his patrol. both of us used bendix 4wd pads
No probs with either after ~70,000 kms on each one so I recon there is not much difference between the two

I have RDA slotted all round on my Prado, with Bendix pads, had them on for three years, no complaints at all.

I just replaced my front brakes with RDAs from ebay, no problems so far.

Got the message from the mechanic that the rears need replacing as well, so ended up going for RDA slotted front and rear. He also recommended RDA

I replaced the rear disks with DBA rotors at 100 dollars each. I then did the front with RDA and the 2 rotors were 87 dollars for the pair and I have had no problems with braking at all. I use Bendix 4wd pads that are dearer than new rotors funnily.

I've got regular DBA rotors and Ferrodo brakes and am happy with them. I reluctantly drove through some bog holes on a track recently (following two friend's cars) which caused great regret when the mud clogged up my wheels and callipers. Shortly after crossing the 2nd bog hole a high pitched squealing noise was coming from the front right rotor which was from a wedged rock or something I couldn't locate and remove at the time with the wheel on. I later took the wheel off when I got home and cleaned out the calliper, pad and rotor and to my relief the rock didn't score the rotor because it sounded bad at the time and I didn't want to fork out 100 bucks for another rotor after a day of 4wding.
