Front Axle seal

Hi all,
I've noticed my front axle seal is leaking and i'm going to have to replace it. has anyone done it before and have any hints/tips to make life easy.
also would anyone be able to tell me the part number/generic seal size so I can get one before I pull it apart.

More info needed, and exactly where is it leaking from, as there are different seals.

it's the inner axle seal that needs to be replaced. leaking from the flange that the CV bolts to.

If you go to Toyodiy.com and use the exploded views to get the Toyota part no. for the seal you need, give CBC bearings a call as they seem to be able to cross reference most seals in my experience. If it's the hub rear seal it runs about $70-80 :shock: If the diff side seal somewhat cheaper.

thanks for that, the exploded view is great. it's the diff side seal, not hub side.

Punch the partno. in search, I have also got the seals from here:

and you have probably noted that they are different seals either side.
