HL, LL engagement dash lights.

Hi there,
I have my prado 2.7 1997 up for sale and had a guy come have a look only to tell me I must have a problem with my transfer case because instead of a green light coming on on the dash panel i get a orange light with an x where the gb is. I have never noticed a problem with the 4WD system but to be honest it very, very rarely goes off road so I wouldn't really know. It goes into gear fine, it seems to engage fine and works fine in HL, LL. I don't have a manual so I cannot confirm if this is true or not and was hoping one of you guys who own one could help me. What lights up when you put yours in HL, LL.

Hey Paul,
There is nothing wrong with the transfer case mate. Mine has the same light. Not sure about the later model 90's, but the all the early one's where orange light letting you know that the centre diff lock is engaged.

Playdoh96 is absolutely right, I own an 1997 2.7 RV too and mine has an orange display to tell me when the center differential is lock its perfectly normal !
