Gday all my ABS and traction control light have started coming on on my 2000 model V6. Any ideas what might be causing that? dirty sensor?

As they are one in the same ( TC works via ABS system), it can only be one of two things, faulty sensor or faulty module. What is the cause of the fault is any ones guess, as it could be something simple like blown fuse, to something critical like replacement of module. First thing I would do is check the fuse. If that's ok, then I think the best thing to do then is (to cut down on the diagnosis time) just take it to a mechanic and plug it into a diagnostic machine, it should be able to pinpoint the problem in seconds.

Thanks Croozza it has come on twice in as many days but goes off when restarted so I think that rules the fuse out yes?. I will take it to auto elec this week. Thanks very much mate
