  • KZJ 95 - What is this circuit board on the side of the AC?

    Hi all

Installing aircon from my KZJ-95 and I noticed this circuit board located on the side of the aircon evaporator unit near where the plug the temperature sensor goes.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for it? I'de love to know what it is does, (the AC is actually going into another car)

It's got 10 pins on the main connector, numbers on it are

    On the female connector
    88650-35060
    277300-0401
    12V

    On the circuit Board
    277300-0101

My guess is it's something todo with measuring different voltages, removing any noise and turning the AC pump on/off as theres a chunky relay on the board?

It's listed in the parts manual as:

    "Amplifier, Sub assembly, Airconditioner"

Awesome, thanks for the reply, atleast now I know what it is

So i'm guessing it must read some signal from the clutch on the pump? know where i could find a pin-out / wiring diagram for it?

Also a little more background on the part..

Looks like something to stop the AC pump doing bad things if things arent right by looking at the relationship between engine RPM and pump RPM

Whenever the air conditioner is running, a small computer called an air conditioning amplifier constantly monitors compressor rpm and compares it to engine speed. The air conditioning amplifier, which is made of a black plastic material and is a little larger than a pack of cigarettes, is usually located on or near the evaporator case.

Before we proceed, let's avoid confusion by clarifying three details our Toyota buddies emphasize. First, although many technicians know the compressor speed sensor as a speed or rpm sensor, many shop manuals call it a lock sensor. That's lock, as in "the compressor may lock up!" Second, manuals often identify Toyota's engine rpm signal as Ne. Third, the electrical schematics sometimes show a reed switch when, in fact, the vehicle has the AC signal generator-style lock sensor.

I'll take a look at home tonight, I have some 90/95 series diagrams but I'm not sure how detailed they are... I'll get back to you.

          Bump.

I have a wiring diagram for the 90/95 series AC.

          PM your Email address.
