Am I going nuts????
When I bought the car I had a factory fitted towbar installed but have not used it. Now I have been installing a brake controller following the excellent description in this forum. When I went to connect the camper for the first time most lights didnt work. I drove down to the local garage and hooked up to one of their hire trailers, same issues. When i checked the 7 pin trailer connector all the right coloured wires were in the right slots but eg measuring between vehicle earth and pin3 earth 46 ohms. Logic says the factory install should be right.
I have found the relays and electric brake wire as described in various posts but I cant see where the trailer loom plugs in to get most of the signals or where the plug earth is bolted to the chassis. If the trailer plug is wired wrong it should be covered under warranty as all I have done is crimped a wire to the provided electric brake tail... or have I missed something?
Thanks Charlie
