Turbo Failure

Thanks John, I have found the diagnostics terminal box mounted near the power steering resevior, however there is no contact on the TE1 terminal there is one on the E1 terminal. Any other clues?

hi guys, managed to pull an error code off the prado 14 = Timing control signal (crankshaft angle 7 deg or more out from target). Has anyone seen this before? where is the crankshaft angle sensor? is it on the fuel pump or else where?

Thanks for the info John and The Roo, I had a mechanic look at the prado and a diesel fuel injection guru, and they decided the pump after 289k was a bit worn out. Spent just over $2000 getting the pump rebuilt and installed, apparently just about everything was worn out. Very pleased with the job that was done, and wow what a difference in power, it is awesome. So can't complain about the money, I have spent very little on the prado in the 5 years we have owned it. Long live the prado :-)
