Yeah I seem to have poor acceleration as well but I'm not very familiar with how they should be when they are going good. I have cleaned my MAF but when I looked it wasn't really that dirty but still cleaned it anyway. I also often wonder if that is part of my problem to. I spoke to the previous owner yesterday and asked him if he had any hard start issues which of course he said he didn't. He also told me he changed the timing belt as well but I'm wondering if he maybe got a tooth or two out on the cams or crank. I'm going to redo the timing belt this weekend so ill check if the timing was done right.
Does anyone know what the ohms readings of the cam/crank sensors should be when I test them? I can't seem to find the specs in my manual.

have you replaced the fuel filter, not saying its the problem but it's a reasonably cheap item and simple to replace.

      Replaced with a G6E Turbo

yeah mate i did the fuel filter. Its the 1st thing i thought of. But i also had 3 plugs out a couple of days ago and they looked pretty normal (not sure how many km on em) and i checked the gaps and they were all about 0.032-0.035 thou and the spec is 0.043 (1.1mm) gap. Im wondering if the small gap is causing initial hard starting because the small gap = small spark = no fire ? Probably not the problem and just grasping at straws but ya never know. Now your probably wondering if i re gapped them well no i didnt cos i didnt want to damage the coating of the electrode as i dont have a proper gapping tool. The timing belt is coming out today so ill do it then. Fingers crossed.
