Hi all, I'm having a lot of trouble getting the bolt undone on the harmonic balancer. I have tried a rattle gun, breaker bar turning the motor to hit chassis and a pivot head rattle wrench that you hit with a big hammer but I have yet to break the thread? Is the bolt thread anti clockwise If you are at the front of the car to undo it? Need help please!

That's how I did mine as well.
Laid the breaker on TOP of the PASSENGER chassis rail and just gave the motor a "bump" with the key (when I still had a key for it.)
My best mate who was helping and is also a pain in the arse as he works as an OH&S inspector dove for cover when he realized what I was doing... i thanked god it worked and didn't make a fool of me.
Think I'll invite him over when I change over a set of springs with compressors haha. For the record... i do have a pair but his reaction to my dumb moves is so worth the risk... sometimes.

last time I did the timing belt I made up flat plate steel about 500mm long with a short piece welded to one end at right angle with holes drilled for high tensile bolts to lock in the pulley, this tight to garage floor, then breaker bar with a steel bar over it up through engine bay.
rattle gun or impact socket driver would not cut it2018 GXL 2.8 1GD,
