Hi
Does anyone know where I could borrow a set of rims and tyres for my 90 series. I want to respray my existing rims. The logistics of sandblasting and getting them to a spray painter is a nightmare.
Alternatively does anyone know who will do the entire job in a week (Illawarra area)

Hi Dave

Just a a tip. If your getting rims sand blasted and painted, beware of the Wheel repair guy stationed out in Botany he is a shonk!!! I had big troubles with him as he did not sand prepare the rims properly. All he could do was shrug his shoulders and say im not painting them again.......BEWARE!!!!

Thanks. I am in the Illawarra and am having them done by someone a friend has recommended. Just curious, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay per rim?

Dont mind at all. The "RIPP OFF MERCHANT" charged me $270 per rim and he said i paid Trade price for them. Later on i found out from other wheel repair centre's that i shouldnt have paid more than $120 per Rim!!!!!.........BEWARE OF HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have spoken to a powder coating company that quoted about $50-60 per rim. From what i have read on other posts is that powder coated rims are more resistant to scratches over painted rims
