Strange Grande

Hi all.
Just purchased a 2001 Grande TD Manual.
Did a search on it before i bought it and all ok.
Now I am not sure I have what I should have.
I have all the Grande extras inc Dual zone AC, Leather interior, Sunroof, Wood grain, Horizontal Grande grill, Fog lights etc.
But I have no ABS?? Or traction control.
I believe ABS was standard on Grandes and TC was an Option.
How do I check that what I have is what left the showroom with the accessories.
Thinking maybe a rebirth somehow, Car is imaculate, Low k's and drives like a dream.

is it a import maybe?? and did they do the grande in manual.

Traced it back to QLD from new so not an Import.
Manual TD Grande is a rare thing

Could it have been upgraded after purchase to make it like a grande?

Does the VIN on a prado show what spec it is?

I cant believe it doesnt have ABS. Toyota do some strange things but ABS I would have thought was standard for sure it says it on redbook that it is but nothing about traction control even as an option ?? I had 01 T/D Grande BUT didnt have duel air, (definately grande 1 owner from new) but I had ABS,Traction, and stability control. The auto diesel grande didnt get dual air till the last of them in 02 but was also climate air then, work that out ?? My 97 petrol grande had it but didnt hace sunroof or leather as in the series one it was an upgrade from the standard grande. Series two they become VX then Grande which gave you the lot, Not sure if these pics will help you indicate some thing different to yours ??

All appearances is it is a Grande.

Hey Aaron, This website needs a "Sticky" on the MAIN PAGE of the website. The exploded parts diagrams are an excellent reference for so many instructional postings, and the Parts Numbers etc are also a real bonus... and that is just the beginning!

For a while I check toyodiy for reference. Is the best site for part numbers, make comparisons, etc.
