  • Arb deluxe bar sitting a touch low ???

    PP

Just had my new deluxe winch bar fitted and think its sitting a touch low off the bottom of the guard and lights not sure wether its just me being use to bumpers snug fit or is it not fitted properly and can you adjust in any way to bring a bit closer to under guard and lights,

there seems to be a lot of back panel showing that is black and car is white just thought it be a better fit to body ????

any feed back or photos of 90 series would be great, id post a photo but not sure on how ??

    cheers

I take it was fitted by ARB ?? Sounds like they sprayed it black ?? I had a white 95 and when I fitted the bar I sprayed from just under the headlight down other wise it looks horfible been able to see the white, at least they did the right thing in spraying it, How much gap are you talking ?? 10 mil 20mil ?? You need some space there to allow for flex, not as much as a 120 though, I have about 20mm to allow for flex which is needed and recomended.Bit hard to see in this pic but there is about 8mm gap between, never had it hit, the white one I had was 11

As you can see hadnt sprayed it black behind just under the light, I quickly fitted the bar before we went away, it was taken off and sprayed afterwoods. If I can find a close up picture of the white 97 grande with bar on Ill post it..........When I was referring to gap size I was talking between the flare and the bar not gap under headlight

Mate if you payed to have it done, and was say ARB (not saying it was) but take it back to them and tell them you payed to have it fitted and done properly and that is how you would like it so take the bar back off and spray it properly please. Some of these after market joints need a good kick in the arse and telling some times other wise they just take the cash and think the customer dont care !!! I primed myn and everthing prior to sprsaying the final coats (3 all up) christ its black paint for godsake, not that hard.....Cheers Steve
