we are going to try and run coilovers and triple bypass shock with hyro bump stops to stop up travel and to take the harsh hits out as well and some kind of torsion sway bar to keep it flat when going around corners hard this kind of fornt end will flex way better.
No kidding. That kit uses some seriously long links. Should flex nicely.

Obviously as this is going to be a Frankenstein part-Prado, part-80 series, part buggy, it will be hard to compare to any stock vehicle, but how high do you plan on having it?

we are wanting it to not be lifted on the coilovers any more then 4incher but would love to get it down some where between 2 and 3incher as it will be running a 2inch body lift as well. the plan is to run 12inch coilover so and it would be good to get about 5inchs of up travel and 7inchs of down. but will have to see if that can be done. and my mate had a 5inch coils and 3inch body lift in the 80 and its just way to high. to run the big wheels we are just got to cut into the wheel arch like the arctic trucks and like the gards you can get for the nissan.

its amazing with some work you can get your COG down which helps with speed and corning and driving on bad side angles.

A mate got a 5.3 if we want to use it but we thinking more a long the line of a ls2 as they are cheap

If the 5.3 is free take it but is not go the ls2 it will only cost a couple of grand more but will be a hell of a lot more motor. 5.3 make about 340hp out of the box a ls2 makes 400hp. So if u pipe cam and tune then it's going to be close to that at the wheels. Power is king in sand and mud.

Will the 5.3 is going to be a wast of time. We may have found a cheap prado over east but we got to work out if trucking it over to the west is worth it. It's a stocky so will go over the pits nice and easy.

Been working out the best way to get all the gear over here that's need from the state.

Got a mate that well do the ute chop. He's done a heap of different chops so know what to do. He all so said the we may have to beef up the chassis as well so it doesn't snap in half. Which sounds like a great idea.
