Airbag help needed from other 95 series owners

Hi, got a RWC done check today. Got told the airbag warning light wasn't working and needed an auto elec to check and fix and write a report
Of what was wrong and what got fixed ......thing is my airbag light works! I turned the car on, light comes on and
Goes off after 6 seconds like it should. If I turn the car off, wait say 10 seconds and turn it on again the airbag light DOESNT come on. However
If I turn it off and then wait 90 seconds or more, then turn it on, whoa and behold, the light works.
I read that the airbag system stays charged for 90 seconds after the car is turned off and figured this was why it doesn't do another self check in this time

Has anyone had this before, and/or can anyone see if there's does the same as mine?

Checked mine tonight and the light comes on and goes out after six seconds every time I try. Tried after 10, 20 and 30 seconds and it does the same every time. Mine is a 3.4 V6 UK VX spec from 1997.
