Oil Filter
I was the same first time, and thought how the fu## am I suppose to get to that ? Anyway took both the under body guards off so I could get to the sump plug. I then cut an ice cream container down to nearly a third of it size and stuck up under the filter to catch the oil that WILL run out over everything. You can use an oil filter removing tool the type that slips over the filter and when you pull the handle it tightens around it. You can only move a small bit at a time but you only need to do it to break the seal then remove the rest by hand easily. DONT FORGET to make sure the rubber seal comes off with the old filter. I then put a slight amount of cleam oil on the filter seal then screw back on. Some do it just by hand but I like to tighten up with the tool. Then pull out icecream container (up the write way not to spill oil) DONT forget new sump plug washer so you dont get any seapage around sump plug. I do all of this from under the vehicle I found it easier then trying to do yoga and go through the passengers rubber flap under wheel arche Good luck with it. Next time I do it I will try and get some pictures. SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

Sure is a fun job isn't it. I do my from the hanging my body over the left front mudguard standing (just) on a small step ladder. Yep, use the filter remover with the rachet spanner.
I try to catch as much as possible of the spilt oil with old rags. After the oil and filter change, I head for the car wash to wash the remaining oil from the sump guard into the carwash's waste water system.2019 Prado GXL 2.8L Diesel
