Installing a Series 2 back seat in a Series 1 95

Gday all, we have a 1999 series 1 95 series Prado. It has the one peice middle seat and I have recently bought the two piece series two split seat from a series 2. has anyone swapped one of these before?

My main question is the ancher points on the floor. I know the fabric pattern is different which is no big deal and I will start with these and swap the fronts and rears as well to match. I want to install them to seperate the kids with ease without upsetting the baby ........

If anyone could give me some feedback it would be great

Hi Steve,

I havnt had the need for the rear seats as we have 100ltr LPG tank strapped behind the cargo barrier. Anyhow it sounds like a tricky job, hope you get it in and when your finnished post some pics up please,

Hi Zook,

No worries will do. The seat I bought from the wreckers was really grotty. I got a bucket of water, suger soap and a nail brush and it has come up like brand new. It was really grotty but the fabric is very tough so handled a good scrub. Put it in the sun and it was all dry in half a day. Good cheap way to clean the seats without spending a lot of money!
