It was a bit of a hot one here in Perth earlier this week (37c) so I cranked up the airconditioner for a bit of relief which reminded me of an issue I have been meaning to raise here for some time.
I notice that when the air con is on face/feet setting a good 80% of the air comes out of the two ducts at either end of the dashboard with a paltry 20% coming out of the centre ducts. Is it the same with others?
I'm not sure its always been like this, but it certainly has been for the past few years. I've had the dash apart quite a few times and am wondering if I've done something to the ducting etc to alter the air flow. It still works like a charm, but it seems odd that most of the air flow is delivered to the end of the dash and not out of the centre ducts like most other vehicles I've had.
I've checked as best I can behind the dash and cant find anything out of place, so now I'm wondering if its normal or something that can be rectified? From memory the air flow out of the centre ducts improves if the setting is put to face only, so maybe that explains where the air is going?
