2.7 Tyre Guide

Hey all,
I was looking at tyre size's for my 90's series 2.7 with a 2.5 inch lift. I'm running 245 x 70 on 16 inch rims.With a set of flare's what size can I go up to with out to much trouble?

265/75R16. I run them sans flares on stock rims, no trouble, no sticking out and the 2.7 will more than easily move them. Also no excessive wear on your front end..

cheers lugueto. I was looking at putting on 235/85/r16. I've got a 3inch lift kit so I'm guessing they would fit no worries. My only concern is, will I loose any power? And do I need to adjust my speedo? I'm running 245/70/r16 at the moment

Currently, with the 265/75, My speedo reads 5km/h slower than my GPS. There is a slight loss of power coming from the stock 255/70R16 tires, but 235/85 tires are lighter so im guessing your loss of power will be less noticeable than mine, which is already barely noticeable anyway.

I dont concern with adjusting my speedo as laws here arent very stringent, and speed limits arent very enforced. I just get up to 120km/h on the GPS and call it good. However I dont know if Aussie laws require you to do so, I cant help you there.

32in tires will fit the prado even without a lift, so youre more than ok with a 3in lift.
