Has anyone fitted 265/80/16 km2's or any other mud tires of the same size to their 90. I have a 2" suspension lift with the standard gxl flares.
Am I able to go any wider without rubbing as I am also looking to fit 16x8 rims.

    Cheers

Here's the tyres height compared with other common sizes:

      265/70R16 30.6"
      265/75R16 31.6"
      265/80R16 32.7" <--
      285/75R16 32.8"
      255/85R16 33.1"

That's a pretty cool size, I didn't realise it existed! Same width as standard but almost the height of a 33!

I'm not aware of anyone trying this size, so I can only speculate as to what *might* happen...

With standard 2" lift and standard rims the rear tyre will definitely rub in the rear. I say this because when I had 2" lift + 265/75R16's + standard rims (16x7 +15), the tyres occasionally rubbed at full articulation on the inner/top part of the wheel well (body, not flares). Also, the front tyres are likely to rub against the mudflap when turning. Perhaps with extended bump stops in the rear and some minor mud flap alteration in the front, it could be workable.

With standard 2" lift and aftermarket rims the situation is likely to be worse than described above. Rims with a wider offset (0, -5, -13, etc) will partially reduce the rubbing with the rear tyres mentioned above, but it'll definitely make the front rubbing worse. Rims with a narrower offset (+30, +40, etc) will do the exact opposite (and look terrible).

With 2" suspension lift and a 1.5" body lift this size would be pretty awesome. Standard offset (-15) rims will probably work without rubbing, as long as the front caster is adjusted to push the front hubs forward as much as possible. Installing slightly wider offset aftermarket rims (0, -5) is likely to introduce rubbing against the front mudflap. Installing much wider offset aftermarket rims (-13, -20) will definitely create heavy rubbing at the front mudflap + body seam weld and is likely to introduce rubbing against all four wheel flares.

Again, this is all speculation of course, based from online reading and my own experience moving through these upgrades on my rig:
      - standard everything
      - 2" suspension + 265/75R16's + GXL rims (16x7 +15)
      - 2" suspension + 1.5" body lift + 255/85R16's + GXL rims (16x7 +15)
      - 2" suspension + 1.5" body lift + 255/85R16's + steel rims (16x7 -13)

Unfortunately it's a rare tyre size so it's unlikely you'll be able to borrow a used set or try new ones without a purchase commitment. If you have a good flex testing grounds nearby perhaps you could order just one and put it through a test.. costly, but its' the only way to know for sure.
