I can't remember if I said I was going to look at a lift kit or not so not sure if I am one of the two petrols without a lift kit. The V^ group will have to stick together and try and put on a good show.

According to your registration you have a lift kit! Now would be a good time to invest in one if you haven't fitted it already, some of the tracks at Bendleby can get pretty rugged!
Cheers Andrew
I put down I had a lift kit hoping that it would be installed before we get there so just seeing where the funds need to go. Hopefully the tax man might pay for it so all should be good.Tasmania 2015 GTG Committee Member 2005 Prado Pilbara, Sovereign Bar, Driver & passenger weathershields, UHF TX3220, Spare wheel spaces, Lifestyle rack, Genuine front & midrow seatcovers, Genuine front & midrow rubber floor mats, ARB 47 litre fridge/freezer, Hilux washer jets, BF Goodridge A/T, Radiator protection plate, Dual battery tray and isolator, ARB 2.5m awning, Rhino heavy duty areo bars, MSA rear wheel bin, MAXTRAX

Hey all, we will be travelling down from the Darwin area from about mid august to get to the GTG. Looking at staying off the bitumen as much as possible, sections of the Binns track look likely.
After the GTG we are staying in SA for a while and will be looking for work until Xmas. As I have experience driving tractors of all sizes, I was looking at doing some grain harvest work in the SE of SA and my wife was keen on weighbridge work or something. Anyone here have contacts in this field?
Thanks
Michael WhiteCan't we just keep travelling?

As for jobs, not sure about for you; but for weighbridge work its probably best to register interest with someone like Vittera, have a look here http://www.viterra.com/portal/wps/po...arvest_recruit I am not familiar with the grain storage companies in the SE but Viterra are pretty big around here.

Have been wondering if we needed to carry a jerry can of fuel with us. We are driving a V6 and towing a camper trailer. I am sure the committee has work this all out but would just like to put the question out there and hopefully get an answer.
From Murray Bridge, SA, we went via Gawler where we topped up with lpg (being dual fuel) then topped up again at Jamestown.
In September our plan is to go directly to Jamestown and top up with lpg and we will be able to do Bendleby and then head back to Orroroo where there is petrol available but no lpg with their being lpg available at Peterborough and Burra depending on our needs and how far we get on lpg.
We agree that there should be not need for a jerry can as we've been told there are heaps of locations to acquire go-go juice.2003 GXL Burgundy Dual Fuel Prado

Obviously things would be easier if we were all diesels, as we could fill up at Bendleby at the start, and then at Beachport at the end. The thirsty petrols are holding up the rest of the group!!!Diesel Prado with various things...
