How is Toyota coping with the crisis in Japan.

Well my Dealer has told me that the boat docks next week and I should be taking delivery this month. I hadn't pressured him so I trust its all OK. Now Ive just got to pay for it and trust the build quality is as good as ever. Has anyone else taken delivery of a post tsunami build prado yet?

I have been told mine docks this month also and pickup late June...ordered it early March and have been told 3 previous delivery dates as well.
Not holding my breath for this one either....it SUX !!

Latest this afternoon, dealer has advised will be built this month and delivered July. Fingers and legs crossed........x

Obviously takes a little longer on the boat to South Australia Wooley. Mate of mine ordered his in March (different dealer) well after me and has also been told his is on the way delivery in about two weeks.

Hi

"Swift Ace" sailed out of Freo lastweek having hopefully discharged my shiny (but not glow in the dark) Prado. The Dealer believes I will have it before 30th June. I'm sure they will push it out the yard as soon as possible so everyone can get their commissions and the yard can get some cashflow. Can you imagine how difficult it has been for them all?
i wonder if it will already have the new improved mudflaps?

Scarb Toyota had a March Build 2011 graphite GXL in the yard yesterday, haven't seen it there before, they told me they were keeping it for future sales/potential customers...........wonder if it came in like charlies?

It annoys me that toyota is allowing dealers to still take deliver of cars for stock. I'm certain there is someone somewhere in Australia waiting for a graphite GXL yet this dealer gets one just to have it sit there, while someone who has put a deposit down and been waiting continues to twiddle their thumbs.

I'm good, picked mine up yesterday, extensive and detailed Whingeing may have helped LOL.

Ordered 9th March, one false start on the delivery date, Off the production line 22nd may, off the boat last week and delivered to me on the 24 th June

Yep, that'd be me Wooley.

My dealer said at the outset that it would be 8 to 10 weeks. Because I acknowledged that, I can't go ranting over it - well, until the 8 to 10 weeks are up of course......twiddle, twiddle........'til 14th August.

Double win, cant believe it, just had the leasing company on the blower, they had previously made me update my lease to reflect the budget changes, Now however they have new advise that says that because I signed the lease prior to the budget I can go back to the prior arrangement, 11% FBT and then she says because its been 90 days since the lease was signed but not started a new interest rate applies.

Roger that Wooley, Prados sitting on the floor for show stinks when others have to wait. As I mentioned earlier, I ordered mine back in Feb and still waiting. My mate ordered his from another dealer two months after me and he takes possession tomorrow.
I'm like a little kid (55) waiting and wishing he had his toy ...pleeeeeeeeese.

Still the wait will be appreciated..as long as it doesn't glow in the dark...lol
