aaah for anyone who thinks a 120 grande isn't a serious 4wd .i just did the cape and ate a whole lot of more serious vehicles . whats that mate your 4.2 turbo nissan ute with mudders and diff locks couldn't get up there .hey buddy how come you had to winch out of there with your v8 landcruiser ute . the grande has a button on the dash for an instant 40mm rear lift , traction control , thats gold , and when the corrugations get to harsh just tweak that switch for the suspension to soft and glide over them with 180kws of power in dual airconditioned climate controlled leather clad comfort . your going to need to spend $3500 on double diff locks to match the TC on the grande . the stability control on gravel roads is priceless .

I hope the VX is a close 2nd.
It has all the controls but not the suspension lift and adjustments.
Cannot wait for tomorrow night, for when my wife gets home and drives it up the driveway.
I think only then I'll finally relax and know it's all done.

First trip complete. We headed up to Mt Disappointment and had a ball.
Car went fantastic.
All we had hoped for and more.
Brenda drove a fare bit of the trip and loved it.

All depends on the budget. I think things like leather on later model vehicles are always a better bet. Such 'Grande' options can deteriorate is not looked after, as may be the case the older a Grande gets.
