Hello all
We just sold our E53 x5 4.4 V8 and now venturing into the diesel world.
At the moment, i'm looking at a few 2010 Prado onward to be purchase as a lease vehicle but for private use. Our main reason why we're looking into the Prado because it's known to be reliable and safety.
The car will be mainly use for around town, soccer mum type of use but I will start to look into some soft off road use to really make the most of the car and it's something that i've always wanted to do.
Fishing, camping, roadtrip .....etc
Ok so at the moment, i've enquirer into 2 cars.
2010 - GX - Load with gears, low K's
2012 - GXL - Stock as a rock, also low K's
Both are fully serviced and up to date.
My dilemma is i like the "gears" that the 2010 came with but i also like the "fact" that the 2012 car is a "newer car" and there is a good chance that it would have done less off road than the other one and some extra features that the GLX comes with (multizone air con).
So my question are ...
*2012 engine is more reliable than 2010?
*2010 car done less K's than 2012 car, does this mean it's still in a "mint" condition?
*Can i easily plug an aftermarket reverse camera into the 2010? I read somewhere here and it's said that most harness has been pre-wired for options.
*Is the 3 zone climate control really make the different?
*I believe the 2012 GXL come with Toyota KDSS (??) active suspension standard while the 2010 GX comes with aftermarket ARB springs and shocks, which one should i be better off with?
*2010 GX comes with traction control?
That's all i can think of for now , thank you in advance.
