Toyota Fortuner snapped ahead of July 17th launch, some details too

The dealer was setting something up in the yard, lights camera's marque maybe something new was about to arrive.

Completely agree with this comment. At the 1.50 minute mark of this video, the rear brakes are clearly discs.

That's a Thai model. Wouldn't surprise me if it's different specs for different markets. Drums are cheaper to make so saving a bit of coin in markets with less focus on safety.

The FJ is niche vehicle so sales are not expected to be high. The Fotuner is a main stream vehicle that will be expected to take sales from the MU X, Colorado 7, Challenger and Everest.

FJ Cruiser also has a rear diff lock as standard. Wonder how the sales of that is going to be alongside the Fortuner.

I think the FJ is not much longer for this world. My feeling is this is the replacement.

Front end is unique to Fortuner and different from Hilux.

We are looking to upgrade Trish's Rav next year, this one will definitely be in the mix. Cant say as I love the looks, but its one of the least ugly going around. I think manufacturers are striving to beat each other to have the ugliest new SUV on the market!

80 litre tank according to the specs on the Toyota site.

Looks like a cross between a Kluger and a Ssyangyong.

I quite like the front. The rear, however, is ummmm 'interesting' & very Ssyangyong
