New vehicle delivery times ?

Hey Guys,

We ordered ours on the 26 of July.

Today our Web-tracking came online with the following;

Estimated Delivery: 26.10.07

If this is the case, our dealer was right on the money - other dealers told us 6 months!

We are now happily waiting!

What does the production month say below the delivery date bit you just mentioned

I think mine was ordered on the 6th of July and last word it was expected to be given to me on the 28th of Sept. Yeah I was suprised too.
That was what my lease company told me 2 months ago and they have not mentioned any changes with all the paperwork going through.
My enquiries are about to start now that certain things with Toyota are clearer.
Here's hoping that they are right :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Doesn't say what month but, does say that it is scheduled for production or in production (Step 2). I just checked it again this morning and it says "Information current at: 11/09/2007 8:18AM AEST". So it has updated since yesterday.

Im still on step one with no build date as yet.If you guys are step 2 then there is definately some movement but how long you stay on step two would only be a guess

Hi Conman,

I hope not mate but it is updated daily - where it says "Information currant" updates each day so am hopeful that we will receive the vehicle when it states (or close to). The dealer has been excellent and I even said to him when you say I will get it in Oct do you really mean Nov - Dec. He said No OCT. Only time will tell but at this point we are very happy with the process so far.

That's good news. I ordered mine late last month and was told Jan 18 but that may be because I am going through a lease company. I'm not on the tracker yet but fingers crosssed I will see the same timelines.

Someone should run a book :lol:

How's that for timing :?: :?: Just got a call from the Car Yard. Delivery date has changed from 16Jan to 11Dec. :shock:

Spoken to my dealer today and he said expect the vehicle to arrive by boat this Friday. It will take several days to fit the options etc and to expect the keys in my hand next Wednesday.

According to the dealer today all Prado's hitting our shores are now the new spec. The dealers have already received the new demos which means production lines were changed some time ago.

Saw a silver GXL D4D for sale at Truscotts, Croydon Sydney today
Dont know if its the new spec, but bery definately available for immediate delivery

So today was really one of those dream days.
First I rang Toyota and he said that he was about 2 minutes off ringing me, and that my details were on his desk. Considering I last spoke to him 3 months ago that was just bizarre. :shock: :shock:
I then went into ARB to get the air compressor and check the IPF lights on order- expecting 8 weeks like they said last Friday only to find out that some poor sucker had bought just what I wanted and ARB couldn't
get them to fit on his bullbar.
Damm shame that!!
So I cut out the ordering process and took them also.
