Well I just received my delivery confirmation email today from the leasing company stating that my Prado will be delivered to the dealership on the 25 Oct. I am still expecting it to be the 29th as that is what the dealership have said to me personally. With the fitting of extras and the pre delivery checkout I am hoping to pick it up on the 03 Nov.Roll on the 2010 Pradopoint GTG

Well.... the word "crap" is the order of the day.
Apparently a "computer glitch in Japan" has meant my Prado didn't go up the production line in September.
They said "sorry" and "geez you've been waiting a while". Oh, and all my accessories are in a pile in the new cars office. Well...... now i feel better....
So I must bow out of the Sept-Build October Boat club. This whole thing certainly has developed my patience skills. But now..... Hi I sent an email today to Toyota head office in regards to an approx build date.I find it hard to believe that after 4 months on they have no idea when they are going to build my car.
Here is there reply:

. I hope you are a certaintanty for the next production line. It will be worth the wait, but that doesn't help right now I know. Hopefully your cars will be on the next boat and delivered without any further delays.

If my vehicle fails to be built in November I am going to cancel and have a look at the used car market. Ive had a gutful of being stuffed around by Toyota and their dealers. Im with you hoppy i didnt even get a call from my dealer so i took time off work and bailed up the salseman and the new car manager and told them how dissapointed i was with toyota.They can`t even tell me if im a candidate for november build,they also said no grande`s were on the build list yet.Ive looked at all the alternative cars and nothing comes close to the toyota and they know it. If i dont wait someone else will buy it.
There is an option though they have a new old spec grande in stock but not the colour i wanted or the engine either so do i wait for whenever or buy the one in stock? :evil:Cheers Moto
